I was at work yesterday, and my colleague said, “We are all here to add value to each other’s lives.”

Amen.

I couldn’t have said it any better.

We are here to make the planet a better place.

It makes absolutely no sense to me when I see people hurting each other. Yes, I understand that hurt people hurt each other, and that treating others badly could be seen as a defense mechanism.

But what I’m inviting into the conversation today is the thought that treating others well makes sense, because we are all children of a loving Power. What you call that Power is your choice, but I do believe that there is a Power that created all of us. I also believe that this Power is love itself. In other words, the concept of love is what has created us. Therefore, if love has created us how can we possibly treat others badly. It wouldn’t make any sense to do that.

I guarantee I’m not the first human to contemplate why other humans treat each other human beings anything less than wonderful. It’s not a new question.

I write about this today because our world is in dire need of love.
