I Look at You, and I See Me
In you, I see everything that I am
I look at you, and I see me.
I look at you, and I see joy.
I look at you, and I see sadness.
I look at you, and I see pride.
I look at you, and I see brilliance.
I look at you, and I see every aspect of who I am.
When I look at you, I see that God is indeed wonderful.
If you’re wonderful, that means I’m wonderful.
This truth is that my life would not exist without yours.
Without your life, I would never learn of compassion, caring, kindness, or empathy.
On my own, I have never been able to have any of these qualities. I can’t make them up on my own.
Thank you for the things you teach me.
Do you think you’re an imperfect human being? Do you think you have nothing to offer?
You make my life better.
I’m sure I’m not the only person who feels that way about you.
